Sick Unto Death

I am copying below the email I sent yesterday to Speaker Pelosi - it is so far past time that we the people took our government back!

Honorable Speaker Pelosi:

As a member of DemsAbroad since I fled my once great country after the second stolen election of 2004, myself and our organization in Mexico worked very, very hard to register votes to get the Dems back into Congress.

I need to tell you I will not do the same this year for this very vital election. Why? Because you and Hoyer and Conyers have continually, endlessly, sickeningly continued to cave and cave again to this criminal, vile administration. In any other time, in any other country these people would be seen for what they are: thugs, bullies, losers, criminals, destroyers of the Constitution and the very warp and woof and fabric of my beloved country.

Please - do not BS me with "not enough votes" - you passed the latest war spending bill with NO qualifications - NONE! And FISA! Again, don't tell me it was to get the GI benefits, etc. You should do that another way. So what if they call you names? You have more than enough ammunition to fire back at them. Surely you can't still believe the repugs will take the 'high road' along with us? Fools. They laugh at you while they continue to plunder our nation's wealth and reputation. And FOX "NEWS" - THEY scare you? PUh-leeze - talk about hatemongers, liars, shills and cons.

I am sick unto death of your appeasing this criminal president!!!!!!!! You have the will of the American people at your back and you have let us down over and over and over.
I am sick unto death of the cowardice of you, of the House, of the Senate.
I am sick unto death of the degeneration (decline to a low, destitute, or demoralized state b: moral or intellectual decadence) of our enviornment.
I am sick unto death of our crumbling economy.
I am sick unto death of the raiders of Wall Street destroying our nation for their personal benefit!
I am sick unto death of nothing being done!
I am sick unto death of the lies and malfeasance of this administration.
I am sick unto death of the politicization of every damn branch of the US Government!
I am sick unto death of the trashing of the Constitution. (see degeneration above)
I am sick unto death of the likes of Tom DeLay, Jack Abramhoff, Scotter Libby, Rove, Cheney, Halliburton, KBR and Blackwater.
I am sick unto death of treasonous acts committed in MY name as an American to go unpunished!
I am sick unto death of the total disregard for our troops and the lives of innocent Iraqis.
I am sick unto death of Big Oil and other big corporations running my country.
I am sick unto death of incompetent cronies put into top Federal positions.
I am sick unto death of Far Right religious ideologues determining our school curriculum's and having any say in our government. This nation was founded on the separation of church and state. Remember?
I am sick unto death of far-right, ideologues being appointed to the Supreme Court.
I am sick unto death of the main stream media continuing to be a puppet to the lies emitting from the White House (Iran)!
I am sick unto death of the continuing destruction of the middle class dream.
I am sick unto death of lobbyists for special interests literally writing the laws that govern them.
I am sick unto death of the complicity of the Democrats in the House and Senate. You shame me.
I am sick unto death of the stonewalling, secrecy of this administration.
I am sick unto death of most congresspeople only there to attain a well-paying lobbyist job when their terms expire or they are voted out.
I am sick unto death of writing endless emails, blogging, commenting, protesting, signing and forwarding petitions, writing my reps and papers and haranguing my friends to do something when it seems none of it matters.
I am sick unto death of no one being held accountable for anything.

But mostly, I am angry as hell about being ashamed to be an American. To not be able to travel as once I did - welcomed as an American instead of reviled!

So, will you please, at long last DO SOMETHING for the people of the United States.
